Broad Street Station Philadelphia 1920s

History

In 1926 Simon Miller Sales Company was founded in Philadelphia as a distributor of Kraft and Wrapping Tissue paper. After WWII, the company expanded its reach into printing and converting paper. Simon Miller recognized the demand for master rolls for envelope, tablet and forms manufacturers, while developing new sources of supply throughout North America. In the latter part of the 1900’s, with the desire to meet the ever-increasing requirements for its customers, Simon Miller began searching for additional sourcing options by importing from overseas. After the turn of the century the decision was made to change the company name to Simon Miller Paper & Packaging to reflect a broader focus on industrial and packaging customers. The company is now in its fourth generation of family ownership and we are proud to be one of the oldest continuously operating paper distributors in North America.
